words from beloved friend Connie Bruce: My message begins by reading a poem that was written by twelve year old Mattie Stepanek from his collection of poetry titled Heart Songs One day Yet all too soon My memory will be a silhouette in time One day Still too soon and too near My eternity will be forever And for all be the shape of life The legacy I leave behind This is my heart song for Kaitlyn. Life is an energy exchange between us. We are spiritual beings here on earth having the human experience.Everyone is vibrating at different frequencies, but yet, we choose who our energy will resonate with. For a time I got to share my energy space with an extraordinary and beautiful young woman - Kaitlyn. Right from the moment I met Kait, the girl with the 1000 megawatt smile, I knew we had established a connection. Kait chose to share this part of her journey with us -- to brush against us and thereby smooth our rough edges. How fortunate and privileged we are that this gentle soul touched us, each of us having had our own personal and unique experience. My memories of Kait will always be feeling the warmth of sunshine, breathing the fragrance of a field of flowers. Thinking of Kaitlyn will fill my day with a gentle kind of joy. Ive learned that grief can be a slow ache that never seems to stop rising, yet as we grieve, those we love mysteriously become more and more a part of who we are. Now each of us must create our own Heart Song to open the gate to all there is. I know in my heart song Kaitlyns message to us would be this: Whether on earth, in the wind or whispering elsewhere in the universe I WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU Be at peace my darling girl. Namaste
