yesterday, around 1:00 pm, we got a phone call saying that my dad had been in a car accident and he was being taken to the emergency room by ambulance. That alone was terrifying. He was ok, just a little shaken up and had a slight concussion, so the doctors did a CT Scan of his head just to make sure he didnt suffer anything serious. when the results came back, they said that there was some kind of blood clots or mass of veins that was in his brain. the worst/scariest thing was knowing that this could be it, these could be the last few days or weeks or maybe even months, if we were lucky, that i would get to spend with my dad. the worst part was that even though i know he was trying to keep it together, at one point, he started to cry, and my dad never cries. the doctors ordered an MRI and we waited another 2 and 1/2 hours for the results and i was praying the entire time. after being in the emergency room for about 6 1/2 hours, we finally found out that it was, as the doctor put it, an artifact that the CT Scan created. in other words, it was a blip, a mistake, much to our relief, although i was also a little pissed too because the entire time we sat there thinking that i could lose my dad only to find out that it was a mistake. plus we had had to wait for 6 1/2 hours just to find out what we had been told at the scene of the accident! regardless, I am relieved that my dad is doing ok,
