And for that, Id like to personally thank you. You see, I have seen the benefits of scientific progress first hand, when my own sister was cured of late-stage ovarian cancer 16 years ago. My sister is living proof that research leads to treatments that save lives. At the AACR Foundation, everything we do is focused on accelerating progress in the struggle against cancer: Providing fellowships, grants, and other direct financial support for cancer research; Fostering collaboration and information sharing among patients, physicians, and scientists; and Advocating with legislators and policymakers about the value of cancer research and related biomedical science.
