نص الرسالة الرسمية التي ارسلت امس للرئيس الامريكي اوباما!!! The President The White House Washington, D.C. 20500 Dear Mr. President Barack Obama, I write to express my extreme dismay at your and the White House’s comments regarding Israel’s Gaza offensive. As you know, today marks the 27th day of Israel’s bombing, by air, sea and land, of the Gaza Strip. Over these 27 days, Israel’s bombs have killed 1,840 Palestinians, 80 percent of whom are civilians, including 315 children, whose names are appended to this letter. All of them have names, faces and families. All of them had hopes exactly like those of your beloved daughters, Malia and Sasha. They had dreams too. It is also unacceptable that you repeat Israeli propaganda that Palestinians hide behind their children. As confirmed by numerous human rights organizations Palestinians do not use their children as human shields. To the contrary, the Israeli army routinely uses Palestinians as shields during their military activities. And yes, Palestinians do love their children and mourn their death no less than any other parent. Israel has bombed hospitals, schools, homes, mosques, ambulances, UN facilities and even the Gaza Strip’s sole power plant. Yet, your government found it “barbaric” that an Israeli soldier, Hadar Goldin, was captured according to Israel declaration (and later declared he was killed during crossfire). Despite the fact that there was ample evidence to the contrary, including statements by Palestinian resistance, your government chose to adopt the Israeli version of events, and consequently called for his release. Yet, your government has not called for the release of the more than 150 Palestinians currently captured by Israel, nor has your government condemned this brutal campaign. With the continued extension of aid and arms to Israel, in violation of the Arms Export Control Act, at the very least, your government could have expressed outrage that these arms are being used against Palestinians and specifically Palestinian children. The killing of these children should weigh very heavily on everyone’s conscience. Do the Palestinian children of Gaza deserve life and freedom and your empathy to their longstanding suffer? Do they Sir? Respectfully, Dr. Ahmad Tibi Arab Movement for Change Party Deputy speaker - The Knesset ahmad.altibi@gmail
