World Health Tourism Professionals met in Istanbul between 11th-13th June 2014 Istanbul Medical Tourism Fair & Congress (IMTF) which opened its doors between 11th to 13th June 2014 at Harbiye Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) for World Health Tourism Professionals was sponsored by Turkish Ministry of Health, Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Güneş Insurance, Turkish Airlines, Doktor TV and WAW Health International. In the recent years in parallel to the development of Health/Medical Tourism sector worldwide, IMTF was set to be organized by TURKEL FAIR ORGANIZATION for the first time brought together world health tourism industry corporations and professionals. More than 2000 national and international professionals have attended the event. Professionals visited the exhibitors from various countries including Germany, U.S.A, Avustralia, Austria, Azerbajian, UAE, Bulgaria, Algeria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Democratic Congo Republic, Finland, South Africa, Georgia, Holland, Iraq, Iran, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Lithuania, Egypt, Mongolia, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Ukraine, Jordan, Yemen, Greece. Worldwide health tourism sector and medicine professionals, who participated as the conference speakers at Istanbul Medical Tourism Fair & Congress at Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) were as follows: The general manager for the development of health from the Turkish Ministry of Health, Doç. Dr. Ömer Tontuş, Prof. Dr Yaman TOKAT, Liv Hospital General Manager Meri İstiroti, Gülara Alkaçır from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Turkey, Patients Beyond Borders Writer Josef Woodman and CEO OF Health-Tourism Oren Gersh. Istanbul Medical, Health, Geriatrics, Thermal, Spa & Wellness Tourism Fair and Congress (IMT) will be organized for the second time between 07-09 May 2015 with the new innovation project giving direction to the sector.
