2nd part of epi 62 WHAT LIFE TOOK FROM ME Alejandro is at the hacienda meeting with his attorney, he wants a divorce as soon as possible, he wants to be free to re-marry and to rid of his cheating wife. He tells the attorney that his wife is pregnant and the attorney tells him that will makes the divorce more complicated, Alejandro says the child is not his but that they will have to wait until the DNA test comes back in order to confirm this. There is a ring at the hacienda door and Macairo lets in the new visitor who turns out to be Montses attorney. He is led to Alejandros office and he tells him that his client wants an uncontested divorce, she does not want any money from him, just the divorce and for him to sign away his legal rights to the baby. Both attorneys think this is a good deal, a legal fight would cost too much money and it would be a long drawn out process. His attorney tells him that the offer Montse is making is a gift, he would get out of the marriage without loosing anything (other than his sanity and common freaking sense!), but now the big baby is throwing a fit, he refuses to sign the paper work not because it might mean that he will have no legal claim on his child but because only HE gets to file for divorce, because HE has to be the one ending the marriage, because HE is a big baby that only thinks about himself and his pain and has no regard for anyone else. HIS poor little feelings are hurt and thats all that matters. Who cares what Montse wants? He even suggests that Montse is asking for the divorce to get out of having to do the DNA test but Montses attorney tells him that he is wrong, the DNA test will be done but he wont have any claim over the baby. He refuses to sign and when the priest comes to visit him Alejandro tells him that he did not sign the paper work because he wants to make his wife suffer, he wants her to be miserable, she ruined his life and now he is going to ruin hers. Dear Alejandro, wasnt killing her dad enough punishment? I just want you to know that while you might be pretty I no longer like you, Im all for team Jose Luis because at least he is not a jerk like you, and he looks good in a suit and seems to have that whole sweating thing under control. Padre Anselmo tells him that Montse is innocent and if she were after him money she would have asked for it in the divorce petition, Alejandro says that Montse is no good and that if the poor Padre continues to defend her he will have to cut ties with him, the padre shouts that he will visit whenever he darn well pleases. Infomercial for a truck, too bad Alejandro is wearing a seat belt, if he is in an accident his chances of surviving are high. Boooo. Hissss. No one puts Graciela in a corner, or girl look out you have a mighty enemy: Montse drops the bombshell on her mother, she has asked for a divorce, she wont be asking for any money and she has asked that Alejandro sign away his rights to the baby. Graciela is livid, she wants Montse to ask for money, if she is getting divorced she might as well gain something from it. Montse tells Graciela that she wants nothing from Alejandro, she has begged and humiliated herself when she did nothing wrong and she is not going to do it again. Alejandro would have to crawl on his knees and ask for forgiveness before she ever considers taking him back. He replaced her with another woman and has never even asked after her and shes had enough. She will work to provide for her child because unlike her mother shes not afraid of poverty. This pushes Graciela to the edge and she goes to the hacienda where she sees Maria, BM thinking shes the queen bee says that she is the woman of the house and that her man is not home. Graciela tells her that she is only a maid, one of the many that used to cater to her every need when she was with Benjamin and that the only woman of the house is Montse. She continues by saying that in her world, the Marias, the maids, they never get to marry the man of the house, and that Montse will come back to take her place as the woman of the house and the first step towards that happening is to get rid of Maria. Oh, it is on like Don King Kong. The war has been declared and Maria should be scared. REAL SCARED.
