A SCENE FROM THE LIFE OF MOI: Bank Teller Guy: Big plans for the weekend? Me: Yeah! I’m an actor. I’m in a show. BTG: Oh, awesome! What show? Me: Les Misérables. BTG: Lay – miss - uh……..? Me: Les Mis? BTG: Lame…iz? Me: It’s a musical. It was also a movie. BTG: Oh, tight! A musical? That’s so cool! What part are you, like, a lead? Me: I’m playing Madame Thenardi- do you know the show at all? BTG: No. Me: That’s okay! I have a good part. It’s a lot of fun. Basically, I’m a comic relief character. BTG: Ah! Like that guy. Urkel. Me: Uh, kind of? But it’s like if Steve Urkel showed up in a really heavy show. Not Family Matters. BTG: Ah! So it’s like if Steve Urkel was in…Roots? Me: Actually…yes.
