A little early, but since I will be up late why not post my morning status....Brrrrr........feel cold anyway with AO taking my friend......I will share a short story......Dec 24, 1970 about 10PM......Long Binh Vietnam.....several of us were sad.....the Bob Hope show from a few days earlier had worn off....so here we are 10,000 miles from those we loved....feeling alone and perhaps a little woe-is-me.....My friend Gary put on his favorite early Bee Gees song....Holiday......we were sitting around after smoking funny cigs, none of us could sing....but didnt matter in our state.....a dozen out of tune guys.....singing Holiday as loud as possible, at the same time teetering around....some laughing some crying......never forget that Christmas Eve....the whoile group then found some candles and woke everyone else up singing Christmas Carols.....amazing night...... Sorry, but wanted to share.......will miss my friend.......from that group there is only two of us left........mortality....wow....we were so young once............... Have a peaceful Thursday.......
