A little tale of Telstra. 18 months ago when I moved into Powell St I was informed by 2 Telstra employees on different days that I had cable connected to my apartment, only to be told by a 3rd team member when I called back to see where my new modem was that it was incorrect and I could only have ADSL 2+. Fast forward to Oct, 2014. My big pond ADSL 2+ has been reconnected on a Grandfather clause as they no longer offer 200Gb packages and my home phone connected on the cheapest plan as I only use to call to/from NZ. After getting the connection notices, I call back today to query why Im paying close to $130 per month and why the two accounts. Our friends at Telstra offshore have not connected me properly and had not bundled the package. The very helpful Suzi bundled the package together, waived all fees and, guess what? Confirmed I actually do have cable into my apartment after all and will organise to have it all connected for me the day after I move back in at no charge. All for a greatly reduced price thats cheaper than their competitors!! Hard to say whether this is a win or a lose for #Telstra but Suzi certainly scored a 10 on the NPS survey at the end of the call. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the connection actually happens as planned but my money is on Suzi getting it right! :)
