ASUU strike called off;congrats to all varsity students,just about 30mins ago ASUU chairman broke d announcement,which is considered d big one for all university students.After calling off d strike,the media went ahead to ask,if d federal government has met the demands of d union.Out of dismay,the ASUU chairman said he was disapointed with the media more than he is to the FG,saying the media gave a deaf ear to the strike,that an average Nigerian does not know that universities are on strike,he went ahead to say when a student inform someone that his school has been on strike,they all would say,oh..."we didnt even know".After expressing his anger with d media,he went ahead to say,actually d President led government is doing nothing concerning our demands,even after a closed door meeting with d Minister of Education,where d president said he has so many issues to deal with now than to start spending more money on so called universities. But, just after d meeting, d chairman of the newly formed party APC called the chairman of ASUU to a meeting wit ACN,CPC,APGA Govrs,who promised ASUU that they would give ear to ASUU demand & will do more,one of which every student will be given a bursary award which is to cover 50% of every student fee, ie, for spending 5 yrs in d university,2 years fee would be paid by FG, &every student who graduates with first class,wud stand a chance to do their masters in Canada,while those with lower credit,& pass would continue their study in South Africa and USA respectively,also salary of VCs would be increased by 90%. Every Nigerian student would be given N20,000 monthly. After this meeting,ASUU chairman called off d strike asking all students to resume at their various schools on d second week of July 2015,of course after voting in APC. Its so sad that you sat down &read all these craps,that means you are as jobless as anything. mehn go find work o, this strike would last more than we thought. it is mother of all strike... Hahahahaha
