AVOIDABLE SLIP: But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. PS.73:2-3. Envious of the foolish!?.... Youre wondering about the punctuations? I was just imagining what is there in foolishness to envy. Then I realize that just as this Psalmist, several of us go even to Gods presence because of a desire to get what someone else has or probably, a better one. What a wrong reason to approach the Throne of Grace! Hear him: Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. PS.73:17. What great difference it would have made if my and your concentration has been to understand the expectation of God over my our own individual life! Lord, make me to know MY end, and the measure of MY days,.... PS.39:4. Dont be motivated to the Sanctuary-Gods presence by self-inflicted pain on account of the prosperity of the wicked but by a desire to understand what Gods yearning is over your own life...... Otherwise you get a slipping feet.
