The sporting goods manufacturer paid Manchester United about $519 million in 2002 for the right produce the teams uniforms and sell replicas and other apparel to the public, the New York Times reports . But now, Manchester United is set to sign a 10-year deal with Nikes rival Adidas that would be worth nearly $1.3 billion, the Financial Times reports , making it the most lucrative apparel sponsorship in the game. #ggmu
