After graduating from Hilliard High in 1962, I become a GATORRRRR…..when in my freshman year at the University of Florida, we beat the Georgia Bulldogs for the first time in a few years. I majored in Advertising in the School of Journalism and Communications. Using this leg up, I joined Bantam Books Publishing Company in New York City, but was shortly caught in the draft and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp . The feeling of marching in Dress Blues to the Marine Corp Marching Band playing the Marine Corp Anthem at Graduation is a feeling like none other.
