M. Allegro Note: The Qumran Sect lived along the Dead Sea about the time of Jesus Christ as a monastic group who had withdrawn from the world in an effort to live more closely to and for God. It is amazing that our ideas about God today are quite similar to the ideas formed by the Qumran Sect over 2000 years ago. They were caught up in a terrible battle between God and Satan, the temporary ruler of this world and their desire was to bring forth the Kingdom of God.
