Are people in North Duffield all aware of the solar farm which is proposed in the parish? It is to cover 130 acres and will have 80,000 solar panels surrounded by 6Km of fencing, 8 feet high. There will be CCTV, lighting and sub-stations dotted around the development area. Here are some photos of another development in progress - but the North Duffield site will rank amongst the biggest in the country. Have you been informed by your Parish Council (who will receive £250,000 if the scheme goes ahead)? Unsurprisingly, your council have registered No objection to the scheme - but have parish members have been properly informed. Feedback would be welcome. Formal notices were erected on 9th January, so there are 21 days to register objections - until 30th January.
