As a Wall St guy, for decades I knew the time when our broken system would fall of its own weight. A democracy based on consumerism could not sustain itself indefinitely. I came to that conclusion 40 years ago. I just didnt think it would take this long, but the time has finally arrived ... and, that time is now. America is no longer recognizable as a democracy. When a husband and wife each have 2 jobs and still cant make it, its an indication the rubber band can not be stretched any more without snapping. All one need do is look at Walmart (the nations largest employer). Their employees (great majority getting the minimum wage) can hardly pay for their own Thanksgiving dinner. McDonalds, another huge employer paying the minimum wage share the same dynamics of Walmart. And, the recent stoppage of the food stamp program for our most needy (including children) I believe will ignite the apathetic into action. There comes a point when Americans finally say enoughs enough.
