As we approach the 10th anniversary of Moms death, I think back to that last week we spent with her. She spent a lot of time sleeping during the day which meant she was up a lot during the night hours. Dad, Sammie and I would sit with her, talk and laugh and just savor those precious moments no matter how tired we might have been. She wanted to listen to Selah cds and this song was one of her favorites to hear. When it would come on, she would clap her hands and sing. She wanted us all to sing with her. Most of the time shed ask to play it again. If people could have heard us carrying on in those wee hours of the morning, they would have thought we were crazy! Looking back now, Im glad we did what we did. Although most of that week we were running on very little sleep, we created some wonderful last memories with her. To this day, when I hear one of the songs from those Selah cds I cant help but smile I think that its her way of letting me know that shes still with us. ♡
