As we approach the point of no return. In just a few hours we will all have to buy something by law. It does not matter whether you want it or not or need it or not you will have to buy it. These creates a few questions in my mind and some observations. 1. IT IS NOT HEALTH CARE REFORM IT IS INSURANCE REFORM. 2. The big insurance companies are in the enviable position of just having gotten 50 million more customers. 3. The exchanges are contracted out to those same evil insurance companies that have preexisting clauses in their contracts for coverage. Affordable by what measure? Coverage? Deductible? Price? Co-pay? Medications co-pay? Access to your doctor and his associated hospital? What is in the formulary? What procedures will be determined as medically unnecessary?
