At last nights Critics Choice Award, actress, Jessica Chastain was awarded their first ever MVP award. In her acceptance speech she spoke of the wonderful characters in the four fims she starred in last year and thanked her directors for their unique points of view on those characters. She also spoke on diversity within the entertainment industry. And to do as Martin Luther King Jr. encouraged people to do speak up. Well, in her list of those that need to be more represented in films and television she did not mention people with a disAbility. THe largest and fastest growing minority in America. Well, I and many of my fellow paraplegics and others with a disAbility trying so hard to be included in the entertainment industry, have been and will continue to SPEAK UP for ourselves.
