Being patriotic to Canada does not mean that you accept and support everything the Prime Minister says. 16% of the Canadian population voted for this political actor. True patriots support the principles that the country was founded on - not some multinational corporate agenda that benefits elite business interests abroad while crushing rights and freedoms at home. 5.8 million people voted for Harper based on a platform of fiscal and social conservancy. Since taking power the federal debt has increased from $460.000.000.000 to almost $700.000.000.000. We have decreased taxes on multinational corporations and elite investors to record lows, while decreasing federal services and offloading responsibilities onto provinces - bringing the total provincial+federal debts to over 1.4 trillion dollars. Being a patriot doesnt mean you support decreasing government revenues from the wealthiest people and businesses in the history of capital, while increasing federal debt levels in order to justify crushing poor people who pay their taxes directly from their pay cheques.
