Bit of a rollercoaster emotion-wise yesterday. Didnt realize that getting ready for Ladies Night and reading all of the posts about it would open up a floodgate of memories and a boatload of loss... hit particularly hard because yesterday marked the seventh month since Debra Jane Shelly passed away, and even more notable because she left while in the warm glow of prep and thoughts about seeing her peeps at the last Ladies Night event at the store, shes still dreaming about it. However, it was also nice to go out to Oakville and spend the late afternoon and evening with the Shelly family as we celebrated Scotts birthday with swimming and a bbq. I had a rather deep conversation driving Debs uncle Randy home, that delayed my arrival at the store to just after midnight and managed to catch the last Ladies Night group as they were heading home. Sounds like it was a great time, and I think we can now get back to having them on a bi-monthly basis, as that is what Deb would have wanted. It keeps her dreams alive.
