Brahms EIN DEUTCHES REQUIEM For all flesh is like grass, and all the magnificence of mortals is like the grasses’ flowers. The grass has dried up and the flower fallen off. (I Peter 1:24) So be now patient, dear brothers, until the future of the Lord. Behold, an husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient about it, until he receives the morning rain and the evening rain. So be patient. (James 5: 7-8) REFRAIN For all flesh.... But the Lord’s word remains in eternity. (I Peter 1:25) The redeemed of the Lord will again come, and to Zion come with shouts of joy; Joy, eternal joy, will upon their heads be; Joy and delight will them seize, and sorrow and sighing will have to go away. (Isaiah 35:10)
