Brinkmanship versus Power of Prayer in Crimea. Real power does not rest in the hands of Putin, NATO or Obama. Amid the dangerous brinkmanship of President Putins military posturing in the Crimea and the threat of global consequences all shall be well if there be a man who can effectually intercede by the prayer of faith. The real power lays in his hands not the military chiefs. Conceded, if no one will stand in the gap and make up the hedge God cannot but allow Satan to exploit the situation. God through Christ uses human holy hands of prayer. Without such an intercessor His hands are tied, for He has no hands but human hands and has limited Himself by not intervening when men cease to stand in the gap. This is the biblical secret that most modern Calvinists and Arminians have forgotten as the ancient landmarks have been forsaken progressively over the last five to six generations. That was why World War 1 and World War 2 occurred in face of Christendom’s twentieth century apostasy. QUESTIONNAIRE. 1. Are you interested in prayer? 2. Are you interested in world events? 3. Did you realize world conflict was averted when intercessors stopped Obama’s planned attack on Syria with multiple warheads and Russia already involved? 4. Do you know the war history of Crimea and Putin’s warlike posturing since he twisted the rule of law so he could regain the presidency? 5. Do you think he will stop with Crimea and leave the rest of Ukraine alone? 6. Will he stop with the Ukraine or move into other Commonwealth Independent States (CIS)? PRAYER It cannot be with the slightest doubt. Let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord. Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Reckon on your faith, brethren! Admit it is weak and you are likely to receive an enabling gift of providential faith by grace for intercession if Christ wants to lay a particular burden upon you. This may then become travail of an intercessor. Whom He empowers He enables. Whom He enables He empowers. The evidence of His replacing weakness with robust boldness comes to candidates who are concerned over a global crisis or conflict. God is not looking for people with strong faith but for the poor in spirit to be blessed with the faith of Him our eternal High Priest. He alone knows how to bestow the Spirit of Prayer upon a brother who dares to become an Elijah for a short time. It is only by His empowerment of grace bestowing great faith that the humble supplicant will be enabled. Then even as His will and direction are revealed to those that KNOW NOT HOW TO PRAY there comes an intensity of indomitable faith through Holy Ghost power. The intercessor is raised into heavenly places with prolific boldness and hitherto unprecedented fervency of travailing earnestness. The intensity increases even as the assurance of the mountain moving into the sea. The confidence of knowing His will is firmly aligned with knowing that his heaven sent petitions are being answered in the affirmative even as he persists. If you would discard all your 1. Proud profession of having sway with God ad hoc, 2. Your methodology of prayer, 3. Your theology of prayer. And 4. Your proud energy of prayer Then perhaps God might be able to trust you with the big stuff: via. the true spirit of prayer which changes nations, kingdoms’ kings and presidents. Once you have learned how to truly battle (2 Cor 10 & Jude 20) you might be better able to pray for your congregation instead of merely going through the motions thereof. You may have set yourself up as a HOLY MAN OF GOD, but you have not even learned to pray in the Spirit yet. It is not to him that runneth nor to him that willeth. Not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit saith the Lord. Thy weakness is thy strength.
