Bristol BMX Winter Series - Round 3 Bristol Massive were back in the saddle after a well earned break. Beautiful day. Beautiful people. Brilliant racing. Now, we all know, racing at Bristol is pretty popular. But, quite flabbergasted to find a tent pitched trackside as we arrived to set up. The occupier obviously did not want to miss a single minute of a fun day ahead! He was awoken gently by the sound of humming hubs, as racers gradually filtered onto the track for morning practice. Much to the amusement of spectators, the tent stayed pitched until the end of the racing day. With pre-sheets checked and altered accordingly, Formulas were listed and racing got underway. Riders threw caution to the wind and whipped around the freshly surfaced track. The Chairman had been out with his whacker all week. The speed and close battles between riders seemed to prove The Tumps was riding well. Club members were out to gain top points, whilst relishing the challenge of racing riders that had made the trip from outer region. It makes for good training, new friends. Plus, the all important fun factor. It was also a pleasure to spot a couple of riders who had attended our Beginners coaching sessions. Kitted out in new attire, they rode well and seemed to have enjoyed the racing experience. Thank you for racing with us in Round 3 and many thanks to the volunteers who helped on the day. It is much appreciated when it is busy. We hope you will join us for Round 4 - 25th January. We may even have pork rolls with stuffing & apple sauce on the menu again!
