CORD’S POLITICS OF DEFIANCE, THREATS AND ULTIMATUMS – A SIGN OF THE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP STYLE TO BE EXPECTED FROM CORD/ODM? They issue threats and ultimatums, hurl abuses at the duly elected state president, government officials and state institutions. They threaten to hold rallies in Eldoret and Narok this coming weekend, whether the government and police “like it or not!” This, even after police cancelled the rallies, based on intelligence gathered indicating likelihood of violence erupting in those regions following those rallies. This, even with everybody knowing that Eldoret was the “centre of gravity” of the 2007/8 post-election violence in Kenya. Obviously, CORD/ODM doesn’t care about national peace and stability, or the safety of Kenyans. Let the LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES GET TO WORK, as per the new constitution. Let us get a preview of “Saba Saba” (7 July 2014) through Eldoret and Narok. Let the ERA OF LEADERSHIP THROUGH DEFIANCE, THREATS AND ULTIMATUMS CONSUME ITSELF and give Kenyans peace, once and for all. Let it be!
