CVD Tips for Singles Mothers Desiring a Relationship For those of you who desire marriage one day, these tips are designed to help you in this season and prepare you for the next. • Acknowledge your season. Please know that it’s ok where you presently are. Don’t hate being single – embrace it and know it’s only temporary. • First things first. Focus on your child/children. Protect them through your relationships. Don’t allow them to be caught up emotionally with someone who may not be there forever. It can potentially cause them to have trust issues later. • Until you are sure regarding the direction, ensure your child/children address him as Mr. so that the child does not develop a family type of attachment. • Make sure the man wants children and please ensure you talk about his child rearing beliefs. • Most if not all bring some sort of baggage to a relationship. Be it... children, debt, hurt from past relationships, how our parents raised us, etc. It really can be a matter of perception (baggage or balance). Yes, you are bringing a child/children to the relationship, but simultaneously you’re bringing your gift of time management skills, organization skills, budgeting skills, communication skills and so on. • Remember your decision not only effect you but your child/children. • Be sure to give your child/children a platform to discuss/express their feelings. • Don’t lose sight of God; Keep seeking wisdom and direction in life; and Continue getting to know yourself (who you are, what you like, your goals, desires) • Take it sloooow... NO RUSH! • Dont put yourself in situations that it will be difficult to get out of. • Trust God, LITERALLY. When pray, believe that God will do what you are requesting Him to do. https://facebook/CourtshipVsDating
