Can I say something about this? I know that weve been promoting the One Warm Coat drive in our community, as well as the launch party that is planned for this evening at Franks Pasta and Grill. But I want to say something about Nicole Whitmore who is the driving force and organizer behind this project. I met Nicole about a year ago while she was a student in an Addiction Worker program, looking for an internship with Green Wood Coalition . I had planned to turn her down. That would have been a big mistake. Shes been a brilliant co-worker for me, a compassionate companion to struggling people, and a determined difference maker. Im proud to be associated with her. Nicole has a good heart, informed by her own lived experience, and guided by wise instincts. If you can join us tonight (or during the coat campaign) please take time to thank her for the good work that she has done this year. -David Sheffield
