Can horses be aggressive if are they defending themselves? Yes - TopicsExpress

Can horses be aggressive if are they defending themselves? Yes - absolutely they can. In fact aggressive behaviour often occurs as horses feel threatened or fearful. This is a really interesting clip of a heavy horse biting a little girl, but not surprising considering her behaviour. I wonder how far she had pushed this horse prior to the film. This film has made me think how many childrens ponies are climbed on, manhandled and pulled around, yet often they dont become aggressive. Some ponies are incredibly tolerant and have the patience of Saints considering what they are subjected to both on the ground and when ridden. Look out for the February issue of Horse magazine for my article on aggression in #horses
