Currently in Malaysia learning blood letting from a laoshi from Guangzhou. I realized that Malaysians are more selfless and caring compared to Singaporeans, especially when it comes to health. In Singapore, I invited several people whom I know, have friends and relatives with major health problems (can tell from their face), to come and see the laoshi for help when he was in singapore. There was one conversation that particularly puzzled me. Me: hi A, just informing you, I have a teacher who is an expert in helping ppl solve health issues that even doctors cannot detect and prevent them from developing into sth worse. I see that your husband has some major health issues by looking at his face. I strongly encourage u to bring him here for a consultation. A: sorry, Im not interested! Her husband is extremely obese and his face shows signs of fatty liver, high blood pressure and arteries blockage. My estimation, he wont survive more than 20 years if he doesnt change something. Hes about 30. Is she not interested in her husbands health, or what? Maybe my message was structured too tactlessly... So it makes it a good idea to ignore the content? Other people decided not to come because too tired, need to cook for husband, or just because they think their health can wait until next time. Whereas in Malaysia, people who came for face/palm reading (for health, not fortune telling) and hear about their health issues, immediately called up their friends and family that they think have health problems to come for consultation too. They benefitted from the treatments instantly and literally begged their friends and family to come over so that they could benefit too. And despite being not very well-off, they all packed angbao for the laoshi automatically. Such differences just across a small strip of sea. I might prefer Malaysia...
