Dear Friends and Partners, Hoping this letter finds each of you doing well. We have many things we would like to bring you up to date concerning the things both here and abroad. Jamie had the honor of preaching at an outreach in Jasper, GA a couple of weeks ago. There were hundreds in attendance and when an invitation was given three (3) men rededicated their lives to Christ! Praise God!! Here in Gainesville, GA at Atlanta Street Mission we see many lives being touched and transformed by the gospel. The youth and childrens ministry is continually growing and it is beautiful. Many of these young people come from homes void of any knowledge concerning the bible and no church attendance. There are generations of non-believing families and many children live in regular abusive situations, many of which we have witnessed first hand. The support you give has helped us give bibles to many and the miraculous thing is that they bring them when they come. We also now have picture bibles which stay at the mission. This is such a blessing because it keeps their attention and helps them follow along teaching them of Christs love and grace. There have been three (3) shootings in the last fourteen (14) months. One of which resulted in a fatality that occured right outside the front door of Atlanta St. Mission in our parking lot!! We are believing that the Light of Jesus love will transform this area for the Fathers glory. We give Jesus all honor and glory for the two-hundred (200) souls that have been reached for His kingdom here in the last eighteen (18) months. We are still delivering food boxes to widows, single moms and retired families. Atlanta Street Mission does not have regular offerings taken up at the services due to the fact that the homeless, children and youth struggle with poverty & or addictions. We depend upon your support to keep the doors open! The retirement home ministry is doing great. Your support helps us to minister at two (2) retirement communties here in North Georgia on a regular basis. There have been many that have come to know the Lord as their Savior nad many healed of sickness. The schools for orphans in Africa continue to grow mainly due to the hunger in the slums of Kenya. Your support helps us to provide them with two (2) meals daily while giving them free chritian education. We are in need of new partner support to be able to supply more food to those being added. It is our desire to feed more and more orphans realizing that as we do to the least we are doing it unto Jesus. The cost to feed an orphan two (2) meals a day for a month is simply four ($4) dollars and the cost for an entire year is only forty-eight ($48) dollars. There are no hidden costs here this is strictly to provide food for these orphans. We have been contacted by so many Pastors in over thirty (30+) nations world-wide to begin feeding programs in their slum areas that we have had to set up an email waitinglist. Our heart is to establish and or support these needs in the future knowing this to be the will of God. We are believing for the provision and timing and are confident that Jesus will guide our steps. The church that was planted in Africa is doing very well and we have regular contact with these Pastors. The church is growing in the grace of the Lord Jesus and many are being added as they become saved. However there is still need for new testament bibles for new believers and it is extremely important that they receive steady support to sustain this work here. This being a new work and the efforts of the Pastors to continue reaching into new villages bringing the love of Jesus to those which have never heard still require help. Last Thursday we were blessed to be able to share with four-hundred (400) students in Hartwell, GA about our mission journey throughout Africa. We know that this in itself is a miracle to be able to speak the name of Jesus in a public school. Many of these students were changed and Jamie even witnessed a teacher crying as we shared all that the Lord is doing in Africa and the lives of the orphans living in the slums. We at Into The Darkness With Love will soon be on a christian T.V. show called Flock T.V. As soon as we have more information we will pass it along to you. When it airs it will be a thirty (30) minute show giving more insight into how your support helps us reach others with Jesus love. We are hoping to be able to have a DVD copy available to each of you that has partnered with us in the last year. We are still believing for funds to go to Peru in late October.
