Dear UTAR Staff & Students, The Institute of Chinese Studies is pleased to invite all UTAR staff and students to attend a talk by Dr Chong-Wey Lin on Applying Digital Archives to Regional Touristic Service - A Case Study on Hakka Xinpu Township Taiwan (應用數位典藏發展區域觀光創新服務:以台灣客家新埔小鎮為例) Dr Chong-Wey Lin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Technology, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Taiwan. He is visiting UTAR under a collaborative project of scholar exchange between the Centre for Chinese Studies Research, UTAR and the College of Hakka Studies, NCTU (Taiwan). In his talk, he will share his experiences on adopting ICT solutions to transform Xinpu, a small Hakka town in Taiwan, from an agriculture-based economy to one that thrives on tourism.
