Dear family in Christ, As some of you may know, I’ve been aching to go on a mission trip for more than 5 years now. During that time I had a couple of opportunities presented, but with my pregnancy, and then a newborn, the timing just wasn’t right. I had really been asking the Lord to make a way for me to go, and a couple months back, my Dad mentioned he would be going on a mission trip this year. So believing God would back me up, I immediately jumped on the opportunity and asked the Lord’s hand so plans would fall in place, and it definitely has! Needless to say, so this is my amazing missions opportunity this summer, June 21-29, teaming up with my Dads church from Peoria, IL we shall go to Tegucigalpa, Honduras (the capital). Our team will be holding VBS for the children of Tegucigalpa, working on different construction sites around the city, as well as ministering in small churches in the area. My prayer is to see Revival break out on the streets through prayer, worship and serving. I am so excited to report that through donations and a small scholarship the largest expense ($2,300) of my trip is covered already. I still need to get the shots required for traveling to Honduras and since my insurance will not cover all of them I still have to pay out of pocket for some of them, which are pretty costly. The last step is getting to Peoria, Illinois since we will be flying out of St. Louis Airport and getting home afterwards. I will need to take a train or bus down there and back. I’m praying and believing I can raise another $500 by June 10th with your help. I am also looking for prayer support. Prayer is obviously the most important element for a successful ministry trip. We would love you to partner with us in prayer for the People of Honduras. That the Lord would bring many to know him and love him, That peoples hearts and ears would be open to hear and receive His word. Whatever amount of financial contribution God leads you to sow in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated and most importantly I will treasure your prayerful support. Pray that Christ will greatly use us to impact the lives of the Honduran people. I am eager to meet and love on our brothers and sisters in Honduras.
