Detmold Important information regarding changes to Detmold Medical Centre In response to patient demand some small changes have been made to the clinics at Detmold Medical Centre. From February 2014 GP appointments will be available on Mondays and Fridays, and a Nurse Practitioner (who is able to treat and prescribe medication for minor injuries and illness, and also chronic disease care including asthma and family planning) is available on Thursdays. These are supplemented by nursing clinics throughout the week. Patients requiring urgent or same day appointments should still telephone the medical centre first to be assessed by the tele-assess nurse who will advise the most appropriate treatment or appointment. In all cases where a condition is felt to be serious or life threatening the emergency services should be called via 112. For further information or to book an appointment please contact reception.
