Diane Pennessi [email protected] Dear Med Student Educators, Please let your students know about this opportunity. Interested students should respond to Diane Pennessi, email above. ********* DEADLINE AUGUST 16, 2013 *********** I am writing you today on behalf of the American Psychiatric Association Steering Committee on AIDS, to extend an invitation to 4th year medical students to attend a two-day training on the neuropsychiatric dimensions of HIV disease on August 24 and 25 at the Hyatt Arlington, 1325 Wilson Boulevard, in Arlington Virginia. This educational program is being conducted as part of a larger month-long medical student elective in HIV Psychiatry (for which students have already been selected), but because we will have expert faculty on-site and additional meeting space available, we are able to invite local 4th year medical students (or 3rd years who have completed their clerkship in psychiatry) to attend as well. The training is comprehensive, covering a wide range of the psychiatric and neuropsychiatric complications associated with HIV/AIDS. Although we cannot provide travel, financial, or housing assistance, there is no fee to attend. Attendance is limited to 15 students to accommodate the interactive agenda and encourage close interaction with faculty. Please feel free to forward this on to others you know who might be interested in this program. Please e-mail me with your contact information by AUGUST 16, 2013 . We will only be able to accept the first 15 students that sign up for this program. Thanks very much and I look forward to hearing from you.
