Her father, the legendary Baptist preacher, Reverend “C.L. Franklin,” was shot & killed by burglars in 1979. She was the first woman to be admitted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. She was a singing mourner at “Martin Luther Kings” funeral.
