“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls - TopicsExpress

“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces" (Matthew 7:6). That verse comes right after a few verses on judging another – let’s look at the verse with that as our premise. “What God has cleansed (made holy) you must not call common (consider profane)” (Acts 10:15b). "... the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls" (Matthew 13:45a). Jesus wasn’t asking us to choose what is a “dog” or a “swine” and keep the gospel from them – Jesus was letting us know that in judging we cast what is holy before dogs and pearls (kingdom things) before swine (what is unclean / what the blood did not cleanse / something other than mankind). The word for revival today is: Do not cast your pearls before swine. As you judge you are judged – if you cast your pearls before swine, they will turn on you (judge you with the same judgment / rent you). Do not give what is alive in Christ over to death. Choose life – revival.
