#DopeMenMonday (on Tuesday because yesterday was off the CHAIN LOL) We met YEARS ago when I whooooped his butt in spades although he remembers it differently. LOL! He is from Detroit, by way of the NY!!! He probably has more NY swag than Detroit, but he is a great blend. He attended Howard University where he also started a business called City Wings. He would tell me about this place all the time and when he would tell people that he was one of the owners and people would go CRAZY! He would always tell me how he wanted to open a City Wings in Detroit one day and his every move was towards that goal. He took a lil break from the entrepreneur life and he toured with Craig Mack as his manager. He lived it up and came back to real life when he decided to move back to Detroit for family matters. He changed professions and became a Detroit Firefighter but he always kept his restaurant dream in his sight! He saved and sold his passion to many people who invested in his dream and he opened City Wings in Detroit 5 years ago! Through all of these life changes and a successful business he manages to be a WONDERFUL FATHER!!!! His daughter is smart, beautiful and just pure awesome! He never once compromised his relationship with his daughter for ANYONE. He shows me what a Father should be! He puts me up on the best music EVER, I mean this brotha KNOWS ALL TYPES OF MUSIC, he is like a walking iTunes! We have laughed so hard our stomachs hurts! He shows me what FAMILY really means! He shows me that hard work really does pay off. He by far one of the most disciplined people I know, it is admirable and I strive for just a tenth of what he displays. He has always allowed me to be the person I am and he encourages me to be unapologetic about it for ANYONE. Because of his focus and commitment, he is the person I have grown to respect and LOVE you like a big ole bowl of grits with sugar and butter on it! LOL Thank you Bookie for being so DOPE and teaching me a thing or two (just a thing or two, I dont want you to get the BIG head LOL)! Grant Lancaster is my @DopeMenMonday
