The panelists will offer their perspectives on how to include blind, deaf, and hard-of-hearing experiences within our movie-going culture and entertainment networks. The discussion will focus on ways to bridge the communication divide and provide access for new audiences, tap the power of cultivating brands with emerging markets, and demystify the processes by which filmmakers can develop richer community partnerships. The afternoon will conclude with the premiere of a short film, RUN WITH ME, re-engineered using a new, state-of-the-art process that offers audiences who communicate through American Sign Language an immersive theatrical experience that will no doubt become an industry standard for the movie-going Deaf community.
