#EGOFilmStudy Here are some things that Stiverne failed to execute being the smaller man vs. Deontay Wilder. All of these listed things wouldve definitely increased Stivernes success rate and chances of retaining his belt. Another thing Prime Mike Tyson had mastered was the art of head movement. Bermane Stiverne did not CONSISTENTLY move his head. Being the smaller man, against a tall fighter who fights tall, this is a must!! You have to make the taller fighter work to hit you. Head Movement creates a moving target. A moving Target is always harder to hit than a stationary target. What do you think is harder, going to a shooting range and shooting the Target picture that is staying in one spot, or shooting at a person who is running down the street? And using that analogy you have to consider this. If you are shooting at a person who is running down the street in a zig zag pattern and they ALSO HAVE A GUN, than its even more dangerous. Deontay Wilder is known to have power, so by Stiverne not moving his head, hes absorbing unnecessary shots as long as Wilder is active & accurate. Picture being in the middle of a shootout and you are standing in the middle of the street shooting, instead of running or ducking behind a car, youre asking to get popped. LOL Head Movement is essential esp for the shorter man trying to get in the inside to create openings. Create that moving target, & complicate matters for the taller fighter. Move your head & bend at the waist, with your knees bent, as you see Tyson doing in the clip. Another thing Tyson would do aside from head movement, is change levels. Tyson would use head movement, feint with his hands, bend at the knees; changing levels. Which makes it even harder for the taller fighter, who again NOW has to WORK in order to hit you. When you get low & use head movement, the taller man may have to overextend themselves trying to reach you, thats when you can counter & capitalize...when you get them out of position or lunging. Plus by using head movement to get in close, you make it harder for the guy with longer arms to get the right torque & full extension on his punches. #BoxingEGO #MikeTyson #StiverneWilder
