Eventually the cloud thinned and a short climb through cloud brought me into glorious Sunshine. 2 hrs and a bit later, here I am in Perth. I want to thank all the people at Beverley aerodrome, especially the kind chap who gave me a lift last night and the equally kind one who gave me a sandwich from his packed lunch. Perth airport is beautiful. I booked into the Skylodge hotel on site and only then discovered that the Aviator restaurant had closed down. So, a mile and a bit walk along the road towards Scone and here I am in the Wheel Inn with Haddock and chips and a pint. Bliss.
