Ex-Light Jun 8 to 23, 2013/06/10 日本語の解説は英語に後にあります。 My full carbon frame bike Kuota Kharma, awarded as “best buy bike of the year” in 2007 by a British bike magazine, was a fine bike but bit heavy in nature. I had a chance to acquire a carbon flame from one of my friend, which he used several years. The flame called X-Light by Inter Max, a Japanese bike maker, one of the best selling flame few years back, had a reputation of lightest flame in mid class race flame. X-Light is 230g lighter than Kahma, I know you would say “ So what the big deal?” however if you pick up both bikes, you could tell how big the weight differences. Also another item like front fork would add more weight differences. X-Light 自分が乗っているフルカーボンの自転車、Kuota社のKharmaは、2007年度に英国の自転車雑誌で 「年間ベストバイ賞」を受賞した自転車ですが、少々重たい野が難点でした。たまたま友人が数年使っていた同じようなフルカーボンの中古フレームを購入する機会に恵まれました。このフレームは日本のInter Max 社のX-Light という機種で、発売当時軽さで評判をとった製品です。 フレーム単体でKharmaより230g軽く、（普通の人にとっては「その程度の違い何なんなの？」っていう範囲だと思いますが、持ち上げてみればハッキリわかります）また、カタログ値はフレーム本体しか表示されていませんが、フロントフォークの重量も大きいと思います。 Jun 8. First day I transplanted all my bike components from my old Kharme and went to the first ride on Jun 8. I went to Matsugo peak with some of Arai members. During the climb, I felt it was a little lighter to spine the rear wheal when I wanted to give an extra ‘push’ in steeper sections. They said the rigidity of the X-Light is little too soft and what I found was probably so. When I rode over the bumpy road, the bike went smooth and felt less vibration. This characteristic would be nice when I have to ride a long distance. Well, everything has two sides, I would try this new flame a while and see what I found. Total distance: 100km お初 Kharmeの部品を全部換装し、最初の試走が６月８日でした。アライのメンバー数名と裏松に向かいましたが、後輪の回転が少し軽くなったような感触でした。急な場所にさしかかり少し力を入れるような状況の時、特にそのように感じました。X-Lightはフレームが柔らかいと言われていますが、多分その通りだと思いました。路面の荒れた所を走っていると、比較的スムーズに乗り越え、振動もあまり感じる事はありません。登りだけでなく、長距離を走るような状況の時にも良さそうです。 何でも長所と短所があると思いますが、このフレームもしばらく乗ってみていろいろ試して行きます。 走行距離：100 km Jun 16, 2013 Rain It was poring rain when I wake up this morning. I brought out the rollers to outside and rode three hours in total with a lunch break in the middle. When I was on the rollers, a small butterfly came by to pay the respect to the same coloured bike as he/she was, black, white and red. It was nice to have a company especially this boring torture like this. The butterfly stayed to the end, until cleared the equipment. I hope it comes when I ride the rollers next time. Distance: 40km 雨 朝か雨が激しく降っていたので３本ローラーを庭に出し、昼食をはさんで３時間ほど乗ってみました。ローラーに乗っていたら、小さな蝶が飛んできて、自分と同じ色（黒、白、赤）の自転車を観察していました。ローラー台みたいな単調な練習の時に、つき合ってくれる仲間がいるのは嬉しいものです。この蝶は自転車を片付けるまでつき合ってくれました。 次回、ローラー代の練習をするときにも、ぜひ来て欲しいものです。 走行距離：40 km Jan 22. Hydrangea There were over 20 members at the city hall and from Hato-sun, all decided to climb Suzume-Gawa route to the Matsugo peak. The route has nice up & down climb, also could see Hydrangea in both sides in this time of the year, good treat for the hard climb. I enjoyed this early summers climb by my new bike. The up hill was lighter and the downhill was easier to negotiate the corners. I was happy with the performance the new flame gave me. Distance: 120km アジサイ ２０名以上のメンバーが市役所に集まりました。全員が鳩サンから雀川ダムを通って松郷峠を目指す事としました。雀川ダムのルートは適度のアップ＆ダウンがあり、またこの季節はアジサイが道の両側に咲いているので、楽しみながら登る事が出来ます。新しいフレームで初夏の峠の登りを楽しみました。登りでは軽く、下りではコーナーを曲がるのが少し楽になり、新しいフレームの性能には満足しています。 走行距離：120km
