Excited to spend this morning on the hiring committee, interviewing potential adjunct math faculty! Its nice to be on the other side of the table. FYI - A college math instructor profession is DA BOMB...high demand, approx $60/hour for adjunct (part-time), and full-time starting approx $70,000/yr with guaranteed annual raises + excellent family benefits + flexible schedule (ie. I will be teaching only 12 hrs/week next semester & thats considered full time!), + plentiful overtime opportunities + summers, winters, holiday breaks. If you love teaching, students, creativity, logic, and want a stable, non-traditional job that allows for great flexibility for family or travel, this is the shiznit job. I will blog more about this another time, but I absolutely 💜 it!
