Eze 13:22 Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to save his life. Eze 13:23 Therefore you shall no longer envision futility nor practice divination; for I will deliver My people out of your hand, and you shall know that I am the LORD. Eze_13:1-23. The Lord speaks through Ezekiel about the false prophets in the midst of His people. They prophesied out of their own hearts; or as it might be satd, “Who prophesy from their own mind without having seen.” They were then and the same are the false teachers of this present time. Our Lord warned: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” Mat_7:15. Every man who prophesies out of his own heart, who utters his own mind, whose preaching and teaching is not according to the oracles of God, is a false prophet, a blind leader of the blind. Like false prophets in Israel the false teachers in Christian circles are the cause of the spiritual condition of the professing people of God. Of all such it is true what the Lord said through Ezekiel: “They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, “The Lord saith, and the Lord has not sent them.” They are self-called and self-sent. Behind them stands the father of lies 1Ki 22:19-53; 1Ti 4:11. Next we find in Eze 13:8-16 their condemnation and punishment. But there are false men and false women prophets. It is not just one sided.
