Father......Lead the WAY!!!!! Isaiah 58:9-12 9“If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 10 If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. 11 The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 12 Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. The key element of this passage is verse 11.....The Lord will guide you CONTINUALLY........and an important concept of Gods will is that God can only guide a moving ship........He is the rudder......but if the ship isnt under way......it cant be directed......Willingness to Obey HIS will.......is what gets the ship moving.......... In Acts 15:36........Paul had decided to revisit the churches he helped establish on his first missionary trip.........The churches were being strengthened and increasing in number......Acts 16:5.....Luke reports....... .....And they passed through the Phrygian and Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia; and when they had come to Mysia, they were trying to go into Bithynia, and the Spirit of Jesus did not permit them; and passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a certain man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, Come over to Macedonia and help us......Acts 16:6-9....... Sometimes Gods leading does not make sense.......If God wanted Paul to go to Macedonia in the first place.......why didnt He make it easier and faster by having Paul travel by land to Caesarea and then sail to Macedonia?????........Because God starts us out on a life course to fulfill a certain purpose and then......Only when we are READY.......He gives us course corrections!!!!!!........Like a good river pilot........He steers us away from troubled waters........and like a good coach........He never puts us in the game until we are ready.......... I believe in divine guidance as described in Isaiah 58:11........But the context reveals that there are prerequisites that have to be satisfied.......If we take away the yoke.....the pointing fingers....and the wicked conversation.......if we could only learn to extend to the hungry.....and reach the afflicted.......Then.....and only Then....does our Light shine in the dark places........ Truth is.....We are sometimes like a person who seeks to be an athlete by simply suiting up for the race.......Sorry to inform you....but thats not how the skills are gained........Just sayin!!!........ Its in the course of Dedication.......Training.......and the Contest itself.........that one gains the skill of an athlete.......... Its in the doing of Gods work that His will becomes known.......It is in doing what you are Called to do....in Obedience....that you will find your soul satisfied.....and your strength renewed...... Let me ask you today.....are you Building the old waste places????.....are you a Repairer of the Breach......a Restorer of the barren place???? .....This my friend is what we are CALLED to do.....we are to be actively DOING......according to the LORDS Continual guidance.......in this He establishes the FOUNDATION!!!!! Thank You Father........that You oversee every turn in the road of my life........I want to faithfully heed Your guidance today........My desire is to rebuild the old waste places......repair the breach.......and restore the barren......Father....Make me a conduit of your unfailing Love....and your amazing Grace......Satisfy my soul.......renew my strength......take my hand Abba......and guide the way....Where YOU lead......I will follow.......In Jesus name......Amen!!!! Put your Hand in the Hand of the Man who still the waters......Let Him Guide the Way.......Be a DOER.......You Are Lvoed!!!!!
