Field Agent for its Mwanza office. Desirable candidates for the Field Manager role would have experience in: • Managing rural development projects • Rural community engagement • Basic finance and/or accounting • Working with financial institutions such as local banks • Field team management • Working with SACCOS and/or farmers cooperatives a plus Skills and Requirement: • Fluency in written and verbal English and Swahili • Understanding of local village government structures and protocol • Ability to build relationships and establish rapport with community leaders and banks • Highly organized and able to manage correspondence between parties involved in the project • Ability to travel a significant amount of time • Based in Mwanza Reporting to Management , the Field Manager: • Works closely with Project Manager to schedule and implement work plan activities • Establishes working relationships with Regional and District Cooperatives officers in the Lake Zone to identify and mange Cluster Groups • Supports Cluster Groups to prepare requirements and apply for financing • Develops strong relationships with the Cluster Group Project Managers to motivate them, support them and create a sense of accountability within the group • Collaborates with Project Manager to design a structure for continuous presence in Cluster Group areas through the use of a Field Agent network and frequent field visits • Works with Project Manager to design awareness raising process and activities for each Cluster area • Conducts on the ground surveillance of external factors which may affect the effectiveness for the Project (such as competing projects).
