Food and Beverage Supervisor - Hamilton Island FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR REQUIRED – SAILS STEAK AND SEAFOOD GRILL Sails Steak and Seafood Grill is now seeking a motivated and professional Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of this very busy poolside restaurant. Open for breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner and with a front of house staff up to 25 people, the successful candidate will utilize their skills acquired from working in a leadership F&B role to assist the Restaurant Managers in this 7 day operation. ABOUT THE ROLE • Full time, live on island, permanent position; shifts on a rotating roster • Salaried position based on 40 hour work week; however from time to time you will be required to work in excess of these hours within reason when the island is busy • Provide a high standard of food & beverage service in an enthusiastic and friendly manner. • Assist the Restaurant Management team in training staff • Ensure guest satisfaction at all times; efficiently and courteously dealing with requests, enquiries and complaints • Opening and closing duties as required including cashiering functions • Maintain Hamilton Island’s consistent standards of excellence ABOUT YOU • 4 or more years front of house experience within a busy restaurant • Minimum of 1 year in a food and beverage supervisory position • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills • Impeccable personal presentation • Ability to work under pressure • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality an asset WHY WORK WITH HAMILTON ISLAND? • Largest inhabited island located on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays • Award-winning international holiday destination • Close-knit social environment and work culture. • Walk to work – forget city traffic and stress!
