Forbidden Love: The Holy Affair (In Love With The Pastors Wife) By: Psammist We dont choose the people we love, the heart has its own mind. We cant change who we love. This is a story about a couple that fought for their love through thick and thin. In a place called Soshanguwe, lived a beautiful girl called Sibahle Ntuli, a young sweet, kind girl that wouldnt hurt a fly. They had just recently arrived in Soshanguwe, they used to live in Soweto. They had to move because of some deep domestic stuff. She was new to town and everybody was glad to meet her, well, almost everyone. She was too sweet and so some people took some advantage of her good heart, so she got tired of it, and started acting cold. She built up a thick wall, so thick that no one could come close enough to hurt her. She really didnt care about the neighborhood trends, she didnt party, drink or even smoke. She was still a good girl at heart, but then life took too much advantage of her. One day, she went to the mall with her mother. Sibahle had been through a lot, and so her mom decided to take her out to clear her mind a bit. They had great fun there, they bonded. But then, she chocked on the drink that she was drinking when she saw a guy from a distance. He had a straight cap, soggy pants, and a T-shirt written, Single for now. She could not help staring at him, and he could not stop staring at her. Some might call that a spark, he waved his hand, and she did so too. Her mother saw them, and she quickly rebuked her, she told her that she will not allow such a behavior. They then left. On their way out of the mall, her mother had to quickly rush to the ladies room. Sibahle decided to check out some shoe she liked at a nearby shoe store. The boy saw her, he then rushed to her, Hi, my name is Sanele, , she could not respond because she saw her mother coming out of the toilet. Nice to meet you as she rushed out. Then they left. A couple of weeks later, Mam Samantha, her mother, was retrenched from her job. They were late on their rent, and so they had to vacate their premises. They then, went back to Soweto. They went back to her late grandmothers house, which by african customs, belonged to the youngest son. They had to live with her uncle, Sabatha, a heavy drunkard that would abuse his girlfriend. Sabatha, was the kind of person that would sleep with anyone woman that he likes, he was charming, persuasive and he could not take no for an answer. He really got what he wanted, at all costs. They arrived at that house later that day, and had to put up with Sabathas lip, he was drunk as always, he cussed and cursed them, and they both slept crying that night. He always had a way to make them tear down an ocean. Mam Samantha was broke, and her debts were up her neck. So one day, they decided to go to church, and it was fun, they enjoyed themselves. They went the kind of church where the Pastor was obligated to have many wives, and that Pastor kept staring at young Sibahle. He liked her from the get-go, but then the man was way too old with too many wives. The Pastor told one of the ushers to summon them after church, and he told them that he fancies, Sibahle. Mam Samantha was shocked by this, and then they left. They went back to that house and the insults grew by the day. She got really tired of it. They needed money, they needed food, they needed a new way of life. One morning, Mam Samantha went to town to look for some work but then, she was too old for companies to hire her. On her way back, they passed a mansion, she then heard some people talk, This house belongs to that Pastor, that preaches in that United Kingdoms Of God Ministry, a thought then came to her. She needed the money, plus she owed a notorious loan-shark around Soweto, some money. The reason why the left at the first place was because of this loan-shark, his debt could not be settled. It grew by the day. Besides, the man tried to rape Sibahle, and so they moved away to get away from him. She decided to let the Pastor marry her daughter, Sibahle was against it. But they had no choice, and so, it was announced during the church service the next sunday. Mam Samantha and the Pastor, Bab Matlaba, both decided on a small wedding. Only the family, close friends and the church to be invited. It was decided that it would be the coming month. Time flew by and the preparations commenced. Mam Samantha didnt invite none of her family members, she owed at least 90% of them some money. Bab Matlaba summoned all his family, and it was huge. They all came for the wedding, which was to take place on saturday. Sanele also came to his uncles wedding, he helped out a lot. He didnt even know who the bride was. His aunt called him, Sanele, he then rushed to her. Hamba uyo biza umakoti, endlin, Sanele went inside the house, and they told him that she was in her room. He went there, he knocked, and there was no answer. The door was unlocked, he opened it and there she was. Beautiful in every way possible. She was drinking tea with ama shashasha, she then, chocked once again, and screamed. He smiled and told her to be quiet, he sat on the bed and they spoke for some time. Its crazy how they connected, it was as if they were made for each other. They connected, one thing led to another and it ended with a kiss. Saneles aunt, Mam Penelope, came in rushing. She was mad that her nephew didnt do as she requested. She budged in that room and found them kissing. He apologized, and she slapped him. Sies man, uyi nonsense sies. Wena makoti wama simba, voetsek, sies she then went out. Sanele ran after her, but then, Mam Penelope was too mad. She went outside and started crying. He apologized, and he made her a deal, that he will leave the next morning if she wont say a word to anyone about what she saw. She agreed to it. He left the next morning, he didnt want to, but he had to. She looked out the window and saw him leaving. She ran outside to him, she called out to him, Sanele, waaaaaaait, he didnt hear anything over the headphones that he had on. They were really loud, and the quality separated you from life. Nothing gets in, everything gets out. She ran even faster, and caught up to him. Before he could even speak, she kissed him and slapped him. Thats for leaving without saying goodbye, she then went back. He stood there was he watched her go back, a few minutes later. He left. The wedding took place, she was not happy. She had one of those faces that could not lie, though she tried to pretend. It all took place. A few months later. Sanele met again at a funeral, Bab Matlabas mother had just passed away. Sanele was forbidden to come because Sibahle was around, and he listened to his aunt. Later that night, he received a call from his uncles phone, He answered, Hello, sawubona malume, she laughed, Yimi wena slima, kanti ukuphi, I miss you, they spoke for a while. She asked him to her at some bridge not so far from that house. He agreed to it. Belinda, the second wife overheard her talking on the phone, and she decided to go and check out who she was talking to. A couple of hours later, they hooked up at some bridge. The spark was as strong again, they kissed at the first sight. They spent hours talking, flirting and kissing. One thing led to another, they ended up making love. Belinda heard some moaning, and she patiently and quietly went there, and took some photos of them. Her flashlight wasnt off, and the snap sound was loud. Sanele saw someone taking photos of them, but he didnt see who it was. He quietly dressed-up and ran after her. Belinda tried running but her heels were hard to run in, she hid herself and took them off, and started running again. Sanele saw a gleam from her cellphone and ran after it. She was not good of a runner, Sanele was closing in fast. She ran, and she began winning this time. She took out her phone and sent those photos to the pastors phone, and the other wives. For some odd reason, she was still running, while trying to chat. She stepped on a bottle and fell, she fractured her head on a rock, and died a painful slow death. Sanele went back to the bridge to fetch Sibahle, Who was that? She asked. I dont know.. I lost him., they then left. On their way back, she saw some heels, and they were a vintage collection that only Belinda had, those shoes were so rare, that only 18 pairs were made world wide. Belinda received them from her Mothers boss as a wedding gift. She took the shoes and went back to the house. When she got there, she found everyone shocked at some picture Belinda sent them. The thing is, the picture was not clear, it would take someone with a great sight to notice the person in that photo. For some time, she was safe, she covered the story and said that maybe Belinda was trying to pull some prank on them. Due to the pain that everyone felt, they all let it slip, but then one wive, Lindokuhle, who was very close to Belinda, knew that something was up with that photo. Looking really close, she zoomed in, and saw the face of Sibahle. She then told the other wives, and they all looked at Sibahle differently. They called her names, and cussed her. The next morning, the word was out that Belinda was found dead in some pit. Everyone immediately assumed that she was killed by her, and the fact that she had Belindas shoes didnt help her case at all. When the Pastor learnt of this, he cussed her and told her to leave and never return. She left with tears all over her face, she called Sanele, and he came to her. They went to his house, and his mother told her to leave and never set foot in her house ever again. Sibahle left, and Sanele ran after her. On their way to the taxi rank, the crazy loan-shark saw her and now they had to run. They ran so much that they had not the strength to run anymore. The loan-shark came really close, but they managed to escape him. They went to her uncles house, and found her mother crying. She didnt have anything to say. Sabatha then came in, as drunk as he could be. He called Sibahle all insulting words, Sanele didnt like this, and so he slapped her uncle. Sabatha lost all control and bumped his head on a chair and then he fainted. This added more stress to her mother. She told him to leave. He then left, crying. Sibahle then begged her mom to let him stay, but she refused. Sibahle ran after him. They had no place to stay. No food. No money. Nothing. The day was patiently seizing to remain, evening was at the dawn of day. They went to some toilet and slept there that night, one night, turned into two. Then three. Then four. It went on for almost a month. One night, they got into a fight, it got really loud. Sanele decided to go out for some fresh air, on his way out, he saw a shinny thing in a bin. He checked it out and found a gun. He took it, and brought it back to that toilet. He hid it from her, he just knew that she would flip. The gun changed him a bit, he was more aggressive, and the fights occurred more. They fought almost everyday until they broke up. One night, they fought over some argument, she decided to leave. And so she did, on her way out, she yelled, I am pregant, and then went out, on her way out, the loan-shark was around town and saw her, he then ran towards her. The loan-shark caught up to her and he started slapping her. Sanele went out, to apologize, and saw his girl being tormented. He went inside to fetch his gun. He ran after them, and panicked when he got to them. The loan-shark had a knife on her kneck, and yelled, Put down the gun or she dies. Sanele heard a police car siren from a distance and began to panick. He looked to the side, and when looked back, the loan-shark was coming towards him. He pulled the trigger, and the bullet, shot the man, and it penetrated to his girl and pierced its way to her heart. Sanele went to his girl, yelling, Somebody help! Help! Help me!, that was the longest three minutes of his life. She died that night, he could not believe it. The strain was too much, he took the gun and shot himself. They died side by side. He shot himself holding her hand on his left hand, and shot himself with his right. They died holding hands. They died for their love. :(.. They both lost they lives for the love that they shared. They believed in what they had. It was special. It was dramatic. It destroyed them. But it was worth it. Some people wont get to have what they shared in their entire lifetime. Love is worth it all.
