Fri. 08.08.2014 Box park Shoreditch In London 오늘은 내가 다니는 사무소에서 가까운 쇼디치에 일 끝나자마자 다녀왔다. 쇼디치를 처음갔을때는 우리나라 홍대와 같은 느낌이 들었다. 과거에 캠든마켓이 젊은이들의 공간이었다면 최근엔 이곳 쇼디치로 많은 젊은이들이 몰린다고 한다. 실제로 많은 패션피플들이 있었고 옷가게 음악가게 빈티지샾 카페 펍들이 가득했다. 그중에서도 오늘 소개할 장소는 Box Park이다. 쇼디치역 바로 앞에 있는데 보통 우리나라에서는 그냥 버려질 공간에 컨테이너 박스들로 건물을 만들었다. Box Park는 이층으로 되어있고 이곳에는 팝업 스토어들이 들어서 있다. 때문에 1층에는 디자이너들이 그간 작업해온 옷, 신발을 파는 가게들이 많이 있었고 2층에는 컨테이너들을 듬성듬성 놓아 사이공간에 테라스를 놓고 음료와 음식을 파는 펍들이 있었다. 컨테이너 박스를 그대로 살려서 공간들이 작고 제한적이며 유지비가 싸기 때문에 젊은 디자이너들이 많이 있었다. 렌트는 3개월단위서 부터 할 수 있어서 컨테이너의 가변성과 일시적인 느낌이 팝업스토어, 젊은 디자이너와 잘어울렸다. Today i went to Shoreditch where is near my office after finishing work. when i went to Shoreditch first time, it seems like Hong dea in Korea. if Camden market was place for young people before, many young people are coming to here Shoreditch nowadays. Actually, there is lots of fashion people and many shops as well such as clothing store, music shop, vintage shop, cafe and pub. Today im gonna show Box park. Box park is next to Shoreditch station. if the place is in Korea, it will be useless but there is Box park which is made of container and has second floor at the place. The building has many pop up store. So there is shop which has clothes and shoes from young designer in first floor and there is pub where is located between containers using for drinking place. They are using intact container box so it makes small space, limited space and low cost of maintenance. Thats why there are many young designer. we can hire the place from during 3 months. flexible, temporary containers match up pop up stores and young designer. *im gonna upload architectural London stories every week ^^
