Gambia Football The Ministry of Sports and National Sports - TopicsExpress

Gambia Football The Ministry of Sports and National Sports Council must realize that just because there is a law, does not mean that every letter in that law must be enforced for every incident that happens every time! Otherwise lot of letters are in our constitution that not enforced when there is ample evidence of breaches in our society that require the enforcement of the law. So in the interest of our football development, let the NSC withdraw its decision on the GFF and let the GFF deal with CAF through negotiations and other means to solve this matter. Even if CAF refused to unban us, it is essential to realise that individuals and institutions undergo challenges like this but we learn thru it and avoid similar mishaps in the future. Let the Ministry and NSC express their displeasure in the strongest terms ever in the history of football, but let them give space to GFF to evolve and become more mature and professional. Let them give GFF the chance to handle this in their own way which would be professional. Disbanding GFF Executive will not cause CAF to unban us, and certainly FIFA will punish the Gambia because this is a clear interference in football by government which is against world football rules. We have to learn to leave national institutions in peace to enjoy stability and continuity in order to become mature, professional and responsive. If we wish to take the stick for each and every shortcoming, how then can we develop as a nation? Development is not always a smooth, straight, and cool path. Development, like struggle is also bumpy, and can go off track, delayed and stagnate sometimes for a short or long time, and then we pick ourselves up to correct and move on. Bring Back GFF! Now.
