Gimme Shelter! Today is the day Jackie Mosier Moon and I enter another phase of the Moons. Jackie retired last year and this big ole house is too much for us. After nine months of stress and frustration (I mercifully spared my FB friends the gory details of a lost sale and needed major foundation repair$) we finally have our house sold. And we dont have another place to live lined up yet! Eerie to be homeless. The good news is that the buyers are allowing us to rent back for two months. So wither now are we to go? Florida. Jackie retired last year and wants warmer climes and it would be good to be closer to her aging mom in Sarasota. Besides, Ive driven our past moves so this is her turn to choose. After the closing today we are southbound. First, a brief side journey to Gainesville to see friends and attend the LSU vs. Florida football game (a/k/a the WhoSuxMore Bowl) Then we head to north Tampa area to become House Ninjas. Looking in Dunedin/Safety Harbor/Clearwater area and have several appts. lined up. This process is a little scary but my restless soul is used to assuming risks and taking on challenges and craves discovering new things and people. We will land on our cat feet and looking forward to writing a new chapter in our lives. I always feel a tug of remorse and leave a piece of my heart behind with each move. Just as it was leaving CA, MS, and now GA, Im a bit bummed about what and who I will miss seeing all the time, but Ive never closed doors and we will welcome our friends into our new home and will make time to come back to visit.
